Description

Finally it's complete! Emmy and I slaved over this costume for countless hours, and it was a privilege to be able to wear it around Otakon!

Luckily, I was able to borrow the M8-Avenger for the shoot from a buddy of mine, as we haven't had time to make my guns yet, so many thanks go out to him as well!
A last bit of thanks goes out to :iconzaidb: for doing my scar makeup for me, it was so convincing in person that I had multiple people ask me if it was real!

Costume description:
While we didn't keep an accurate count of how long we spent on this costume, Emmy and I spent well over 100 hours on it.

:iconemilycrossing: was responsible for the patterning, heat forming, and base foam work when putting the armor together. She patterned each piece by hand, created the piece out of foam, and attached it all together to get it as form fitting as possible on me. She also did the wiring for the LED's in the backpack.

:iconmisscordie: was responsible for all of the detailing on the costume. This includes all dremel work, sealing the foam, craft foam details, painting, weathering, harnessing, etc.

We both have such different skill sets that this really was an ideal project for us to not only learn, but also utilize those skills to produce something above and beyond what we could have done individually. I'm forever grateful to Emmy for being willing to help me tackle such a large project, and it wouldn't have been half as good as it is without her assistance.

I know this was posted a long while back, but what did you use for paint? I've been using regular spray paint for mine, but it keeps wearing off....was there a clear coat or a sealant that you used?
